Il presente lavoro intende cogliere l’originalità e la fecondità della prospettiva di Edith Stein sul fondamento antropologico ed etico dell’educativo. Mediante l’analisi del radicamento antropologico della dimensione formativa, che si fonda sulla la struttura antropologica della persona umana, si pone l’obiettivo di offrire i fondamenti antropologici ed etici alla relazione educativa, concentrandosi sul senso dell’educazione intesa come formazione ( Bildung ) integrale dell’uomo.

Dār al-Funūn Theology founded in 1924 was a modern educational institution which adopted both traditional and modern approach to Islamic Sciences. The changes in the field of hadīth during the process of transition to the university caused a change in the definitions and the titles of the courses such as from hadīth al-sharīf and usul al-hadīth to hadīth and the history of hadīth and the time allocated to each course was gradually reduced. The preparation of the texts by the teachers (...) in the hadith history courses and their content will answer the question of whether there is a transformation in the field of hadīth in the early years of the Republic of Turkey. As a matter of fact, Izmirli İsmāʿīl Ḥaqqī’s History of Ḥadīth and Ḥuseyin ʿAvnīʿ Arapkīrli’s al-Buġya al-Hasîs fī Tārīh al-Hadīth which were written in this period, pioneered the studies based on the field of the history of hadīth in Turkish hadīth literature. In addition, these works are the main source in understanding the period. In this study, the mentioned works will be textually analysed through the induction method. Therefore, the subjects that would reflect the ideas of the teachers will be discussed. Thus, it will be tried to determine whether the courses of the history of hadīth are closer to tradition or modern ideas and, how the education of hadīth is practised.Summary: After the foundation of the Turkish Republic in 1923, the Faculty of Theology was opened at Istanbul University as a result of the abolition of madrasas issuing a law regarding to the Unification of Education announced in 1924. With the opening of this faculty, the education in the field of Religious Sciences continued its presence on a new foundation, which can be considered modern, until 1933. In this study, it was attempted to trace the courses of Ḥadīth and the History of Ḥadīth given in the Faculty of Theology at Istanbul University between 1924 and 1933. Firstly, a brief history of the courses will be given, and then it is among the purposes of this study to perform a textual analysis of the works written by the teachers of these courses. While doing this, Izmirli Ismail Hakkı's History of Ḥadīth, which was written as course notes and Huseyin Avni Arapkirli's al-Buġya al-Hasîs fī Tārīh al-Hadīth, which has not been known until discussed it this article for the first time, were focused on. These works are very important in terms of initiating the History of Ḥadīth literature. Furthermore, these are the first works in the field of hadīth in the Turkish Republic, and they are very important sources for revealing the ideological infrastructure of the period. To begin with, it is necessary to attract attention to the change in the course names and duration if there is a need to briefly mention the history of hadīth courses in University. In the universities founded before the opening of the Faculty of Theology, the courses were named as Ḥadīth al-sharīf and usul al-hadīth. Besides, these courses were included in the curriculum for four years, which constituted the duration of the education. In the university founded in 1924 after the proclamation of the Republic, the name was changed as Ḥadīth and the History of Ḥadīth. It is seen that the courses of Hadīth and the History of Hadīth were taught three hours a week for two years from the opening of the Faculty of Theology until 1931. From 1931 until 1933, when the faculty was closed, the courses continued to be given two hours a week. When the content of the works is viewed, it can be seen that Izmirli İsmāʿīl Ḥaqqī followed a historical system in his work History of Ḥadīth. Beginning the subject with the classification of sciences, Izmirli touches upon the topics such as the writing and codification of hadīths. Afterwards, he also deals with the methodology of in detail. He then mentions about the history of hadīth by Shiʿā and draws a general map of the history of hadīth as of the third century of the Islamic calendar. This work differs from the previous tradition of the education of hadīth in terms of including the Shiʿā’s the history of hadīth and especially of ahl al-raʾy’s understanding of the hadīth. In addition, the detailed discussion of hadīth practice in the work is significant in terms of showing that the content of the course did not only cover the history of hadīth.Moreover, it is observed that Izmirli touched upon controversial topics in his work such as the writing of hadīth, Bukhari's criticism and hadīth-history relation. However, Izmirli does not express his approach to these topics so clearly. In doing so, he hides his views between lines, using ambiguous statements related to the topics while trying to base the views on authority. For instance, he says that the hadīths were written on the special pages of the companions in the early periods when it comes to writing hadīths, which was one of the most important topics of the history of hadīth. Even though this gives an impression that the hadīths were written in the companion period, it is stated in the following explanations that the hadīths had not been gathered and written down in one place. Izmirli also says that they refer to the hadīths in the hearts of the companion. In another example, he mentions that there is no doubt about the accuracy of the narrations in Bukhārī's work. However, in the following pages, he states that there are narrators, who are not trustworthy, in Bukhārī's work and says Dāraqutnī's criticisms related to Bukhārī. When the aforementioned two examples are examined, it can be stated that Izmirli acted a bit more cautiously especially in controversial topics. When it comes to Ḥuseyin ʿAvnīʿ Arapkīrli, who starts his work with the classification of sciences as Izmirli does, it is seen that he discusses the part of practice much more briefly. Additionally, he gives more attention to Prophet Muhammad and companion period of the hadīth history. In his work, he also provides detailed information about the formation of the hadīth literature in the third century of the Islamic calendar and afterwards. When the issue is reviewed within the scope of the topics discussed by Ḥuseyin ʿAvnīʿ in his work, it is necessary to mention that the topics related to the history of hadīth were more dominant in the work. Unlike Izmir, he does not allocate much space to controversial topics in his work. However, it should also be noted that he partly touched upon some controversial topics such as hadīth -history relation and writing of hadīths. Ḥuseyin ʿAvnīʿ considers the history of hadīth as a sub-heading of history. Regarding the writing of hadīths, he states openly that the hadīths generally were not written down because of the possibility for them to be mixed up with the Qur’ān in the early periods, and this continued until the time of caliphate ʿÖmer bin ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz. Thus, it can be said that both writers, who applied different methods in their works, looked for a new method. However, it should be remembered that these names were a part of the Ottoman educational system and included in a new system together with their background. Nel breve spazio del presente lavoro, intendo dar conto dell’“habitus teologico” che caratterizza lo stile filosofico di Alasdair MacIntyre : “religiously musical” è infatti — a mio avviso — il più insolito, e allo stesso tempo il più suadente, epiteto attribuito al filosofo scozzese dai teologi James Gustafson e Stanley Hauerwas. Tale habitus è altresì esaltato dalla diffusa propensione a saldare insieme — senza apparente soluzione di continuità — il modus philosophandi macintyriano e alcune recenti figure della teologia cristiana post–liberale (...) e post–moderna, di cui ci occuperemo in seguito: soprattutto la “teologia narrativa” di Hans Frei, George Lindbeck, et. al., ma anche la “radical orthodoxy” di John Milbank, Catherine Pickstock, Graham Ward, et. al. Sebbene MacIntyre non abbia replicato direttamente a simili tentativi di “appropriazione teologica” del suo pensiero, ritengo, comunque, che i tempi siano maturi per riconoscere — a lui e al “tomismo analitico” — un ruolo sui generis nell’evoluzione della tradizione aristotelico–tomista del XX secolo : ruolo distinto, ma non separato, rispetto a quello coevo di quanti — in ambito continentale — hanno tenacemente proseguito la ricerca filosofica e teologica nel solco di Tommaso, come ad esempio Marie–Dominique Chenu, Yves Congar, Cornelio Fabro, Etienne Gilson, Jacques Maritain, Edith Stein, et al. Vittorio Guidano, fondatore della psicoterapia cognitivista post-razionalista, ha offerto alcuni spunti di riflessione sui cambiamenti del senso di identità che presumibilmente si sono succeduti nel corso delle epoche storiche in relazione ai diversi contesti di vita. Dell’interesse per questo tema testimonia una lezione, di cui l’autrice riporta alcuni stralci sinora inediti. La lezione si è tenuta a Roma, presso l’APC- Associazione di Psicoterapia Cognitiva, in data 26 gennaio del 1999, nell’ambito di un training di formazione in psicoterapia. ResumoO texto aqui apresentado pretende dar uma pequena contribuição à discussão sobre a relação entre lógicae ontologia na filosofia kantiana. Seu objetivo é mostrar como Kant segue a lógica dos wolffianos, mantendosua abordagem geral, não sem introduzir algumas mudanças importantes. Ao contrário dos filósofosdogmáticos, Kant, como se sabe, enfatiza a neutralidade ontológica e epistemológica da lógica geral, diferenciando-a da lógica transcendental, que apresenta as condições universais necessárias apenas com basenas quais se pode falar de conhecimento objetivo. Leibniz, Wolff e seus (...) seguidores teriam negligenciadoessa distinção e dado à lógica geral um significado ontológico e heurístico, que absolutamente não lhepertence. Este artigo examina até que ponto essa versão da lógica dogmática, tão bem construída por Kante geralmente aceita pelos estudiosos, é confiável; tenta também mostrar que Kant flerta aqui e ali comasserções ontológicas e, ao fazê-lo, sua lógica também funciona como uma heurística. Os juízos categóricoe hipotético, bem como seus respectivos silogismos, serão aqui examinados em sua relação recíproca comocasos emblemáticos desse uso menos neutro da lógica formal por Kant. Além disso, espera-se que esteexame revele alguns dos procedimentos metódicos seguidos pelo filósofo em sua investigação conceitual,modo de proceder que, embora respeitando estritamente as regras lógicas estabelecidas, introduz modulaçõesdentro dessas mesmas regras, para enfrentar os desafios do pensamento crítico.Palavras-chave: Kant, lógica, ontologiaAbstractThe text presented here intends to make a small contribution to the discussion on the relationship betweenlogic and ontology in Kantian philosophy. Its purpose is to show how Kant follows the logic of theWolffians, maintaining their general approach, not without introducing some important changes. Unlikedogmatic philosophers, Kant, as is well known, lays stress on the ontological and epistemological neutralityof general logic, differentiating it from transcendental logic, which presents the necessary universal conditionsonly on the basis of which one can speak of objective knowledge. Leibniz, Wolff and his followerswould have neglected this distinction and given general logic an ontological and heuristic meaning, whichabsolutely does not belong to it. This article examines to what extent this version of dogmatic logic, so wellconstructed by Kant and generally accepted by the scholars, is reliable; it also tries to show that Kant flirtshere and there with ontological assertions and, in doing so, his logic also functions as a heuristic. The categoricaland the hypothetical judgments, as well as their respective syllogisms, will be examined here in theirreciprocal relationship as emblematic cases of this less neutral use of formal logic by Kant. Furthermore, thisexamination will hopefully reveal some of the methodical procedures followed by the philosopher in hisconceptual investigation, a way of proceeding that, although strictly respecting the established logical rules,introduces modulations within these same rules, to face the challenges of the critical thought. Straipsnyje nagrinėjamas Lietuvos Respublikos darbo ginčų instituto reformavimas ir kaita Nepriklausomybės laikotarpiu atskirų Europos Sąjungos valstybių patirties kontekste. Darbo ginčų reforma Lietuvoje minimu laikotarpiu vyko keliais etapais, iš jų paskutinysis, prasidėjęs 2013 m. sausio 1 d., pakeitė darbo ginčų komisijų organizavimo tvarką, šias komisijas pradėjus kurti teritoriniu principu, prie veikiančių Valstybinės darbo inspekcijos teritorinių padalinių, nustačius, kad į darbo ginčų komisiją su skundu gali kreiptis ne tik darbuotojas, bet ir darbdavys, įvedus kitas naujoves. Tačiau šie pokyčiai vis dar neatspindi (...) europinių tendencijų, kiek įmanoma mažiau institucionalizuoti ikiteisminę individulių darbo ginčų nagrinėjimo tvarką. Straipsnyje akcentuojama mintis, jog darbo ginčų instituto reforma laikytina nebaigta ir, tikėtina, bus tęsiama, remiantis pažangiausia kai kurių ES valstybių praktika šioje srityje, tačiau išlaikant nacionalinį teisinio reguliavimo ypatumą. L'écologie cherche à connaître les conditions d'existence des organismes par rapport à leur milieu physique et biotique.D'une part elle étudie les exigences des organismes envers le milieu et leurs adaptations à celui-ci; d'autre part, elle recherche comment le milieu influe sur les organismes. Or, puisque chaque être vivant fait partie du milieu des autres et que sa présence et son activité modifient le milieu physique et biotique pour lui-même comme pour les autres, l'écologie est amenée à considérer en général les (...) interactions entre les facteurs constitués par les organismes ainsi que par les agents inorganiques.Toutefois, la complexité de ces interactions est telle qu'à leur analyse physico-chimique s'opposent des difficultés partiellement insurmontables. La raison en est que les multiples facteurs écologiques n'agissent pas isolément, mais en combinaison dans l'espace et dans le temps. Il en résulte des états d'équilibre relatif dont seule l'expérience multiséculaire de la nature nous révèle l'aboutissement avec certitude. Aussi bien l'écologiste qui veut en tenir compte commence-t-il ses recherches par le relevé qualitatif et quantitatif des groupements biologiques spontanés. Le chercheur les reconnaît à la constance relative de leur composition, dans les divers endroits où ils sont réalisés, constance résultant de l'équilibre relatif entre les facteurs. C'est exactement pour de tels groupements queMöbius à créé le terme de biocénose. Ainsi la biocénotique peut être considérée comme la propédeutique d'une écologie justement conçue; elle ne serait que préparatoire et provisoire si la Science pouvait un jour entièrement éclaircir le jeu des forces écologiques.Enfin en essayant de bien situer l'écologie dans le cadre des disciplines biologiques voisines, il est utile d'avoir présent à l'esprit l'ébauche suivante d'un nouveau système de la biologie:Dans mes „Analyses et synthèses biocénotiques” , j'ai discuté la conception d'Agrell, qui se base sur des stations-types préétablies. Depuis,Agrell a consacrédeux articles polémiques à soutenir que ses „Bestandestypen” s'identifient aux groupements écologiques tels que je le conçois.Il n'en est rien.Dans l'idée d'Agrell, tous les relevés provenant d'un même type de stations font a priori partie d'un même „Bestandestyp”. La conséquence en est que certaines espèces en réalité vicariantes, c'est-à-dire ne cohabitant jamais -Tetracanthella wahlgreni etFolsomia brevicauda, par exemple — se trouvent réunies, sur le papier, dans une même „communauté”. Au contraire, dans mon système, les relevés faits dans un certain type de stations sont classés tantôt dans un groupement , tantôt dans un autre , d'après leur composition faunistique servant d'indicateur. Cette différence explique amplement les discordances qu'Arell relève entre mes indices d'abondance-fréquence et les siens, discordance prouvant une fois de plus que les „Bestandestypen” et les groupements ne sont pas la même chose.Agrell qualifie de résidu l'un de mes groupements. Or, rien n'est plus résiduel queson Bestandestyp 2, qui représente l'ensemble de 7 stations sur 10, celles qui restent après avoir retranché les 3 stations de milieux extrêmes.Agrell reproche à ma méthode de laisser inclassables certains relevés dépourvusd'espèces vicariantes. Cela n'est-il pas préférable au classement de force de relevés, fragmentaires et aux calculs hasardeux basés sur des unités hétérogènes?Enfin,Agrell estime que le choix des espèces caractéristiques est subjectif. J'ai: montré qu'il ne l'est ni plus ni moins que celui des caractères spécifiques en taxonomie.Oekologie, Ethologie, Biogeographie und Biocoenotik werden noch häufig miteinander verwechselt. Diese Disziplinen lassen sich an Hand des Schemas unterscheiden, das in vorstehenden Schlussfolgerungen wiedergegeben ist. Dieses Schema ist zugleich ein Beitrag zu einem neuen, dreidimensionalen System der Biologie.Speziell wird auf den methodischen Unterschied zwischen Oekologie und Biocoenotik eingegangen. Die Biocoenotik kann als eine unentbehrliche Vorstufe der Oekologie angesehen werden, insofern sie die natürliche Vergemeinschaftung der Organismen als ein grossartiges, von der Natur selbst eingesetztes Experiment betrachtet. Ihre Aufgabe ist es, dass Ergebnis dieses Experiments zu beschreiben. Die Lebensgemeinschaften, die sie dabei unterscheidet, sind gekennzeichnet durch ihre häufig wiederkehrende, einigermassen konstante Zusammensetzung, entsprechend den relativen Faktoren-Gleichgewichten, welche sich im Laufe der Jahrhunderte einstellen. Die Lebensgemeinschaften sind aber viel leichter zu erfassen als die Faktoren-Gleichgewichte und deren biologische Bedeutung. Ihre Abgrenzung erfolgt, — wie in der Taxonomie diejenige der Arten — auf Grund objektiver Diskontinuitäten. Letztere gründen sich in der Biocoenotik auf die sich ökologisch ersetzenden Arten. Sie sind die Prüfsteine für die Grundeinheiten der Biocoenotik: die Biocoenosen.] Soweit die Organismen einer Biocoenose aufeinander einwirken, stellen sie gleichzeitig einen Konnex dar; und soweit sie in ihren Ansprüchen oder Anpassungen übereinstimmen, gehören sie auch zum gleichen Lebensformen-Typ. Es ist praktisch, drei Grössenordnungen von Biocoenosen zu unterscheiden: Synusien, Assoziationen und Biome. (shrink)

Considerações sobre a impossibilidade de definir o homem a partir de Descartes Procuramos, neste texto, pensar o significado da rejeição da tradicional definição de homem efetuada por Descartes, quando tenta entender o que somos. Essa rejeição é resultado de um novo método de filosofar, que poderíamos designar como via das ideias – aquela que parte das forças do próprio espírito para examinar tudo o que ocorre nele e em qualquer outra coisa, evitando usar de pressuposições. A fim de marcar essa (...) diferença de perspectiva e a reiterada disposição do filósofo francês em elaborá-la, apontamos a limitação da noção de conceito – seja aquela da tradição aristotélica-escolástica, seja a pós-cartesiana, fortemente marcada pela representação científica – para dar conta da problemática do fenômeno humano. Nesse sentido, insistimos na riqueza e amplitude da noção de ideia – elaborada e reelaborada ao longo dos anos pelo filósofo – para enfrentar esse complexo fenômeno. Uma vez que o homem não é uma substância, a manifestação dos seus aspectos é sempre adjetiva, podendo qualificá-lo sem, contudo, propiciar a sua compreensão. Considerations on the impossibility of defining man based on Descartes Abstract: The aim of this text is to reflect on the meaning of the rejection of the traditional definition of man performed by Descartes when he attempts to understand what we are. This rejection is the result of a new method of philosophizing, which we may designate as the way of ideas—that which emerges from the forces of one’s own spirit to examine all that occurs within it and in any other thing, avoiding the use of presuppositions. To highlight this difference of perspective and the reiterated willingness of this French philosopher in elaborating it, we indicate the limitation of the notion of concept—whether that of the Aristotelian-Scholastic tradition or the post-Cartesian tradition, strongly characterized by scientific representation—to deal with the problematic of the phenomenon of the human. In this respect, we stress the richness and amplitude of the notion of idea, elaborated and re-elaborated over years by this philosopher, to address this complex phenomenon. Since man is not a substance, the manifestation of his aspects is always adjectival, allowing qualification without, however, providing comprehension. This difficulty of perception therefore requires that the study of the idea of man explore human rationality itself to the greatest extent. Keywords: Descartes; Man; Idea; Concept; Definition. Considérations sur l'impossibilité de définir l'homme à partir de Descartes Resumé: On se propose, dans ce texte, de réfléchir sur le sens du rejet de la définition traditionnelle de l'homme faite par Descartes, lorsqu'il tente de comprendre ce que nous sommes. Ce rejet est le résultat d'une nouvelle méthode de philosopher, que nous pourrions désigner comme la voie des idées - celle qui part des forces de l'esprit lui-même pour examiner tout ce qui se passe en lui et en toute autre chose, en évitant d'utiliser des présupposés. Pour marquer cette différence de perspective et la disposition réitérée du philosophe français dans son élaboration, nous soulignons la limitation de la notion de concept - soit celle de la tradition aristotélicienne-scolastique, soit celle post-cartésienne, fortement marquée par la représentation scientifique - pour rendre compte de la problématique du phénomène humain. En ce sens, nous insistons sur la richesse et l'amplitude de la notion d'idée - élaborée et retravaillée au fil des années par Descartes - pour faire face à ce phénomène complexe. Une fois l'homme n'est plus une substance, la manifestation de ses aspects reste toujours adjective, pouvant le qualifier sans toutefois favoriser sa compréhension. Este artigo aborda a compreensão de formação humana na perspectiva da narrativa em Paul Ricœur partindo da obra O si mesmo como outro. Parte-se da compreensão de que a narrativa não se esgota em seu enredo linguístico, mas, por facultar a elaboração das experiências, ela promove a atribuição de sentido e a significação da existência, sendo constituidora do sujeito. A pergunta que orienta este estudo é: em que medida a narrativa possibilita pensar uma noção alargada de sujeito, capaz de o (...) auxiliar a fazer a leitura de suas experiências e do mundo? Nossa hipótese é de que no vínculo entre experiência e narrativa – que se dá no e pelo diálogo – é que os sentidos são atribuídos, o qual oportuniza alargar as compreensões e significações de si mesmo, do outro e do mundo, permitindo postular uma noção alargada de formação humana. Para dar conta desse ensejo, dividimos este estudo em três seções, buscando primeiramente encontrar na ideia de narrativa, aspectos que possibilitam compreender a constituição do sujeito. Na segunda seção evidenciamos a perspectiva formativa da narrativa enquanto autoformação. E, em um terceiro momento, perscrutamos alguns traços da narrativa que possibilitam pensar a formação do sujeito renovada e alargada, capaz de ser luz aos desafios contemporâneos de uma sociedade complexa e plural. Narrative and human formation: an approach from Paul Ricœur’s thought Abstract: This article approaches the understanding of human formation from the perspective of narrative in Paul Ricœur’s work Oneself as another. It is based on the understanding that the narrative is not limited by its linguistic plot, but, because it allows the elaboration of experiences, the narrative provides the attribution of meaning and the significance of existence, being constitutive of the subject. The question that guides this study is: to what extent does narrative make it possible to think about an enlarged notion of subject, capable of contributing to the reading of one’s experiences and of the world? Our hypothesis is based on the bond between experience and narrative - which occurs in and through dialogue – is that meanings are attributed, which provides the opportunity to enlarge understandings and significations of oneself, of the other, and of the world, allowing the postulation of an enlarged notion of human formation. To accomplish this purpose, we divided this study into three sections, searching firstly to find in the idea of narrative, aspects that enable to understand the constitution of the subject. In the second section we emphasize the formative perspective of narrative as self-formation. And, in a third moment, we analyze some traces of the narrative that permit the thinking of a renewed and enlarged subject formation perspective, capable of being light to the contemporary challenges of a complex and plural society. Cette approche vise à comprendre que le récit ne s’épuise pas uniquement dans sa trame linguistique, mais qu’en permettant l’élaboration d’expériences, il favorise l’attribution de sens et de signification à l’existence, étant constitutif du sujet. La question qui guidera cette étude est la suivante : dans quelle mesure le récit permet-il de penser une notion élargie du sujet, capable de lui permettre de lire ses expériences et le monde? Notre hypothèse est que dans le lien entre l’expérience et le récit — qui se produit dans et par le dialogue — que les sens sont attribués, ce qui offre la possibilité d’élargir les compréhensions et les significations de soi-même, de l’autre et du monde, permettant ainsi de postuler une notion large de la formation humaine. Afin de rendre compte de cette aspiration, nous avons divisé cette étude en trois sections, en cherchant d’abord à trouver dans l’idée de récit, des aspects qui permettent de comprendre la constitution du sujet. Dans la deuxième section, nous soulignons la perspective formative de la narration en tant qu’auto-formation. Et, dans un troisième temps, nous chercherons à scruter certains traits du récit qui nous permettent de penser à la formation d’un sujet renouvelé et élargi, capable de faire face aux défis contemporains d’une société complexe et plurielle. A quasi un secolo da L’Opera d’arte all’epoca della sua riproducibilità tecnica di Walter Benjamin e mentre si svolge il dibattito sull’agency degli oggetti, il tema di questo articolo è la potenza del «classico» nella cultura contemporanea, per la quale l’ordine cronologico secondo cui gli artefatti vengono prodotti non è più dirimente per comprenderne la valenza storica e la qualità estetica. Se classica è per noi la Cnosso minoica inventata a Creta dall’archeologo Arthur Evans con ampio uso di cemento all’inizio (...) del Novecento, che cosa resta del classico una volta orfano della sua natura di passato? Seguendo l’indicazione dataci da Michel Foucault, per il quale la nostra epoca si organizza secondo criteri spaziali e non temporali, originali e copie dell’arte greco-romana vengono qui pensati come corpi naturali – variamente distribuiti su scala locale e globale –, e i loro rapporti sono descritti mettendo in luce le relazioni topologiche che essi intrattengono, piuttosto di quelle genetiche. Reperti e fossili. Il metodo di riferimento utilizzato è la cladistica: un sistema di visualizzazione in uso nella biologia evolutiva che concepisce la struttura della storia della vita in base a una serie di diagrammi ramificati che rappresentano l’ordine di parentela tra gli organismi, mostrando la via che li collega con maggior probabilità. Invece di spiegare i processi evolutivi come una serie di cause e successivi effetti il cui nesso produce eventi puntuali, la cladistica prevede un ventaglio di possibilità da visualizzare in un punto di congiunzione che rappresenta l’insieme delle caratteristiche condivise che ci aspetteremmo presenti in un ipotetico antenato comune a due o più specie, per differenza da altre. Questo approccio suffraga il paradigma indiziario con cui presenta più di qualche analogia. La storia dei prestiti tra scienze naturali e umane si trova così ulteriormente arricchita. Il fatto di inserire il possibile nel passato, come già suggeriva Henri Bergson, permette di ripensare il processo di imitazione in termini di metamorfosi, e in particolare di «pseudomorfosi». Oswald Spengler si valse di questo termine mineralogico per spiegare come nuove culture penetrino in culture loro aliene di cui assumono la forma pervertendone il contenuto, e venendone a loro volta pervertite, così da dar vita a uno straordinario processo di finzione: questo articolo termina suggerendo che il «classico» è, nelle sue varie incarnazioni, un processo squisitamente pseudomorfico e che proprio questo gli permette di partecipare a quella dialettica tra cultura alta e mondo profano che, secondo lo studioso dei media Boris Groys, è ciò che produce il nuovo. La lettura non è un'invariante antropologica. Essa è invece una pratica che muta secondo i tempi, i luoghi, i contesti, e si dimostra strettamente legata da una parte alle competenze culturali di chi legge, le quali determinano maniere di lettura differenziate, e da un'altra parte alle intenzioni, consuetudini, situazioni entro cui si iscrive l'atto di lettura e che vengono ad esprimersi e a definirsi come modalità, positure fisiche, gesti. Un ruolo fondamentale giocano le forme materiali che lo scritto assume e (...) con le quali il lettore entra in contatto: un testo non esiste di per sé, svincolato da ogni materialità e dunque dal supporto che lo offre alla lettura (o all'ascolto) o dalle circostanze in cui esso viene letto (o ascoltato). Gli autori scrivono testi che diventano oggetti scritti con i quali i lettori instaurano rapporti d'indole varia. I testi possono essere letti diversamente da lettori che non condividono le medesime tecniche o abitudini intellettuali, che non intrattengono una medesima relazione con lo scritto, che non attribuiscono il medesimo significato o il medesimo valore alla lettura, che non iscrivono nelle medesime convenzioni l'atto di leggere. Quando la lettura è ad alta voce, è quest'ultima che fa emergere il senso del testo, e può trasformarsi, nel caso di lettura collettiva, in una performance, nella quale i lettori diventano ascoltatori. Ma la lettura ad alta voce e collettiva ha la funzione non solo di comunicare il contenuto di uno scritto, ma anche quello di cementare solidarietà di gruppo che nella comune cerimonia della performance si riconoscono. Un altro rapporto che può instaurarsi con il libro è quello di una lettura tutta individuale, intima, che può essere tacita o a fior di labbra: una lettura che, se eseguita con la penna in mano, si effettua all'incrocio di lettura e scrittura, giacché può dar luogo ad escerti, parafrasi, trascrizioni, marginalia. O ancora, il rapporto con il libro può risolversi, soprattutto nel caso di lettori “deboli” e privi di strumenti critici, in una maniera di lettura in superficie, che coglie soltanto i significati più semplici e immediati del testo. Tutto questo vale anche per le pratiche di lettura a Bisanzio: ritrovarne alcune tracce è l'intento di questo contributo. (shrink)

Alle Formen von Leben entstanden aus der primitiven Zelle, betrachtet eher als eine Art denn als ein Individuum, welches die Fähigkeit für ununterbrochene Selbst-Teilung besass. Fortgesetzte Vermehrung der Zellen mag eins von drei verschiedenen Verfahren folgen: 1. Die zwei Zellen von jeder Teilung hervorgehend, mögen sich vollständig von einander trennen; diese Linie der Entwicklung der primitiven Zelle rief die Protozoa hervor. 2. Während die Zellen sich teilen, mögen sie mehr oder weniger unregelmässig zusammen hängen. Diese Linie rief die Porifera hervor. (...) 3. Die sich teilenden Zellen mögen regelmässig zusammenhängen, eine Blastula und eine Gastrula bildend. Die Gastrula ist fähig eine unbestimmte Anzahl von Variationen hervorzubringen, und durch diese Variationen in der Gastrula entstanden alle Tier-Typen ausser der Protozoa und der Porifera.Diese Linien der Entwicklung von der einzelnen Zelle stellen alle die physischen und geometrischen entfaltungsfähigen Möglichkeiten, denkbar im Falle von Zellen, dar, die die Kraft besitzen sich durch Selbst-Teilung zu vermehren. Da diese entfaltungsfähigen Linien einfach mechanische Antworten auf die geometrischen und physischen Eigentümlichkeiten sind, eigen der Vermehrung der sich selbst teilenden Zellen, so gibt es keine Rechtfertigung für die Annahme einer bestimmten Ordnung in ihrem Vorkommen. Die im 1./2. Jahrhundert n. Chr. von einem Anonymus verfaßte Vita Aesopi (= VA), eine „fiktionale Biographie mit Elementen des komisch-realistischen Romans“ (2), wurde zu Beginn der Neuzeit in aller Welt dadurch bekannt, daß sie in lateinischer und deutscher Übersetzung als einer von mehreren Texten in Heinrich Steinhöwels Esopus von 1476/77 erschien, einem „Bestseller“ der Frühdruckzeit. Aber das griechische Original des VA-Textes, der im 16. Jahrhundert z.B. den Autoren des Lazarillo de Tormes und des Till Eulenspiegel wichtige Anregungen gegeben haben (...) dürfte, entsprach in seinem Wortlaut nicht dem kaiserzeitlichen Text – dieser ist uns zwar nicht erhalten, aber die Version des Codex 397 in der New Yorker Pierpont Morgan Library (G) steht ihm wahrscheinlich sehr nahe –, sondern stellte eine Epitome der Urfassung dar, die recensio Westermanniana (= rec. W). Diese Version versuchte Ben Edwin Perry durch Kollation von 11 Handschriften zu rekonstruieren (Aesopica, Urbana, IL, 1952, 81-107), obwohl er bemerkte, daß innerhalb der Kodizes, auch wenn sie in der Wiedergabe des Stoffs einander mehr ähneln als G, wiederum zwei Fassungen zu unterscheiden sind, repräsentiert durch die beiden Handschriftengruppen MORNLFVW und BPS. Da nun der in Steinhöwels Ausgabe publizierte und von neuzeitlichen Autoren mehrfach rezipierte Text der VA – es handelt sich dabei um die lateinische Übersetzung des Rinuccio da Castiglione d'Arezzo – in griechischer Sprache in einem Kodex stand, der als Ahn von P gelten darf, ist es sehr verdienstlich, daß K. die eine der beiden Fassungen von rec. W, die so besonders wirkungsmächtig war – sie ist wahrscheinlich ins frühe 6. Jahrhundert zu datieren, und ihr sind außer B, P und S das Kodexblatt Th und die erst 1991 aufgetauchte Hs. A zuzuordnen –, als selbständigen Text der VA herausgegeben und zugleich sowohl literaturgeschichtlich als auch sprachwissenschaftlich analysiert hat. (shrink)

In questa sua nuova forma il libro, mentre non cessa di rivolgersi agli studenti, acquista l'ulteriore ambizione di rivolgersi ai cultori della materia, non per cercare un loro acritico consenso, ma certamente con la speranza di dar spunti di pensiero e di discussione. Le difficoltà sono quelle proprie di una riflessione che necessariamente si allontana dal senso comune, per farci prestare attenzione a ciò che ordinariamente facciamo, senza però rendercene conto. Per questo sono da sempre convinto che non esiste in (...) filosofia un unico metodo, che dia accesso all'intera complessità del nostro operare come soggetti intelligenti. Tra quelli proposti nel secolo appena trascorso, ho trovato particolarmente proficui l'analisi linguistica del secondo Wittgenstein, utilizzato soprattutto nelle prime parti del libro, e l'analisi della intenzionalità della fenomenologia di Husserl, utilizzata soprattutto nelle sue parti centrali. Die meisten Systematiker, vergleichende Anatomen und Paläontologen ziehen es vor ihr Material, so weit es möglich ist, in allmählich abgestuften Serien zu ordnen. Dass solche Reihen dem Gange der Evolution wirklich entsprechen, ist nach der Erfahrung der Genetiker unwahrscheinlich. Vor zwanzig Jahren hat schonMorgan darauf hingewiesen, dass man die verschiedenen erblichen Typen vonDrosophila der Flügelform und auch der Augenfarbe nach in allmählich abgestuften Reihen ordnen könne, dass aber nichts dafür spräche, dass solche Reihen phylogenetische Bedeutung haben. Für die Haarfarbe vonMus (...) musculus undMus wagneri kommt Verfasser zum gleichen Schluss. Wenn man schwarz und weiss als Extreme einer Farbenserie annimmt, so kann genetisch der Übergang von schwarz zu weiss in einem Sprung gemacht werden oder aber mittels einer Serie von neun Abstufungen, die teilweise rückläufig sind. Wenn man die Wildfarbe, schwarz-agouti, als Ausgangspunkt annimmt, so wird Melanismus mit einem einzigen Sprung, Albinismus aber entweder mit einem Sprung oder mittels einer Reihe von Zwischenfarben erreicht. Für solche Reihen von Zwischenfarben gibt es dann noch verschiedene Möglichkeiten. Die abgestuften Typenserien stellen daher keine Entwicklungsserien dar, wenn nicht festgestellt ist, dass sie chronologische Serien sind. Dass man sich einfach mit ihrer Aufstellung zufrieden zu geben pflegt, erschwert das Studium der Evolution.La plupart des systématistes, d'anatomistes comparatives et de paléontologistes préfèrent autant que possible à classer leurs objects dans des séries graduées. Si l'on admette que noir et blanc sont les extrêmes d'une série de couleurs, la transition de noir à blanc peut être le résultat d'un seul changement génétique; ou bien elle peut être l'effet d'une série de neuf changements dont quelques uns reviennent sur leurs pas. Si l'on prend la couleur noire-agoutie de la souris sauvage comme point de départ, le mélanisme est obtenu par un seul changement génétique. L'albinisme peut être obtenu par une de plusieurs séries de couleurs intermédiaires ou bien par un seul changement génétique. Les séries graduées des types peuvent représenter l'évolution seulement au cas qu'elles sont en même temps des séries chronologiques. Muitos filósofos utilizaram o jornalismo como meio para expressar suas ideias. Depois da Segunda Guerra Mundial, por exemplo, Sartre, Adorno, Arendt, publicaram em jornais ou concederam entrevistas problematizando aquele evento: seus motivos, consequências e, sobretudo, as formas de evitar outras catástrofes. A partir de 1960, na França, Michel Foucault teve intensificada sua relação com jornais e jornalistas: concedeu entrevistas; participou de debates; publicou informativos e respostas a críticos; e, inclusive, atuou na criação do jornal Libération, em 1972. Quanto aos escritos (...) do autor, conforme Deleuze (1991), as entrevistas de Foucault devem ser consideradas parte da obra do filósofo, destacando a importância do jornalismo para o pensamento do autor: várias delas foram compiladas e publicadas enquanto “formas de expressão” em livros como “Microfísica do Poder” (1977) e na Coleção “Ditos e Escritos” (1994), sendo decisivas para o conjunto da obra foucaultiana. Em sua perspectiva, Filosofia e jornalismo manifestam interesses semelhantes pela “atualidade”, entrecruzando suas práticas, motivo pelo qual se tornou importante dar a necessária atenção ao tema em seus escritos. Assim, este artigo tem como objetivo analisar a relação entre Foucault e o jornalismo de modo a responder como tal relação tem importância para o desenvolvimento e compreensão da filosofia foucaultiana. After the Second World War Sartre, Adorno, Arendt published in newspapers or gave interviews about that event: the reasons, the consequences and how to avoid catastrophes. In France since 1960 Michel Foucault increased his relationship with newspapers and journalists: he was interviewed, participated in debates, published newsletters, responded to comments and worked on the project to create the newspaper Libération, in 1972. Considering the texts published in newspapers, Deleuze (1991) said that Foucault’s interviews should be read as part of Foucault’s work. This decision is important to think about the contribution of journalism to Foucault and to his political interventions. Several of these interventions were published as “forms of expression” in the books: “Microfisica del Potere” (Italy, 1977) and in the Collection “Dits et Écrits” (France, 1994) and they were decisive for Foucault’s work. For the author Philosophy and Journalism have similar interests in the present reality: they intertwine their practices and this is a reason to pay attention to this relationship in Foucault’s books. Thus, the present article aims to analyze the relationship between Foucault and journalism and then discuss how this relationship helps in the understanding of Foucault’s philosophy. Après la Seconde Guerre mondiale, par exemple, Sartre, Adorno, Arendt ont écrit des journaux ou donné des entretetiens sur cet événement: les raisons, les conséquences et surtout les moyens d’éviter d’autres conflits. En France, depuis 1960, Michel Foucault multiplie les relations avec les journaux: il donne des entretiens, participe à des débats, publie des bulletins, répond aux critiques et participe à la création du journal Libération. En ce sens, Deleuze (1991) a déclaré que ces entretiens doivent être lus dans le cadre de l’œuvre foucaldienne, soulignant l’importance du journalisme pour la pensée de l’auteur. Plusieurs de ces entretiens ont été compilés et publiés comme “formes d’expression” dans des ouvrages tels que “Microfisica del Potere” (Italie, 1977) et “Dits et Écrits” (1994) et ont été importantes pour l’œuvre foucaldienne. Pour Foucault, la philosophie et le journalisme montrent des intérêts similaires pour l’actualité, ils mêlent leurs pratiques, et c’est pourquoi il est important de prêter attention au thème. Ainsi, cet article vise à analyser la relation entre Foucault et le journalisme et tenter de montrer comment cette relation est importante dans le développement et la compréhension de la philosophie de Foucault. Genau 150 Jahre nach dem Erscheinen der letzten vollständig zu nennenden Ausgabe der Odysseescholien von W. Dindorf (Oxford 1855) legt Filippomaria Pontani (im folgenden: P.) ein Buch vor, das berechtigten Anlaß zur Hoffnung gibt, daß das dringende Desiderat einer vollständigen Neuausgabe dieses Scholiencorpus endlich erfüllt werden wird. Als der kürzlich verstorbene Doyen der Homerscholienforschung, Hartmut Erbse, 1966 einen Neudruck von Ludwichs Specimina mit den Scholien zu Od. 1.1–309 besorgen ließ, äußerte er im Vorwort fast beschwörend den Wunsch, daß “Ludwichs gutgemeinter, (...) aber eben doch unfertiger Text einen jungen Gelehrten dazu anregen sollte, das ganze Werk von Grund auf zu erneuern und zu vervollständigen”. P. ist sichtlich gewillt (S. 5) und, nach dem zu besprechenden Buch zu schließen, auch fähig, diese schwierige, aber zweifellos lohnende Aufgabe zu übernehmen. Das Buch stellt gewissermaßen die Prolegomena zu einer Neuedition der Odysseescholien dar, weshalb das Augenmerk insbesondere auf der paläographischen, papyrologischen, kodikologischen, überlieferungsgeschichtlichen und textkritischen Untersuchung des Materials liegt, das die Grundlage einer (Neu-)Edition bildet. Aber das Buch leistet mehr, was maßgeblich an P.s Grundüberzeugung liegt, “che ogni manoscritto rappresenti il frutto di un'intenzione precisa, comprensibile solo in una determinata cornice storica e geografica” (S. 6). Diesem historischen und geographischen Kontext spürt P. denn auch durchweg und mit viel Akribie nach. Dadurch erfährt der Leser viel, was deutlich über das hinausgeht, was üblicherweise in einem Prolegomena-Band zu einer kritischen Ausgabe zu lesen ist. Zu einem gewissen Grad wird auch die Anordnung des Materials davon tangiert. (shrink)

Der lebende Organismus stellt einen bestimmten, individuellen Teil des Universums dar, indem er seine Selbständigkeit abgetrennt von dem übrigen Universum erhält, durch den Teilungseffekt, welcher durch die Anordnung seiner Teile bestimmt wird. Es ist anerkannt, dass die Teilung nicht vollständig ist, jedoch eine beschränkte gegenseitige Beziehung zulässt. Es ist auch anerkannt, dass der Grad der Organisation in einer verwandten Reihe sich ändert von den tiefen Verwickelungen der einfachen Zelle zu den mannigfachen Abwandlungen wie sie beim Menschen auftreten. Die Auffassung von (...) effektiver Teilung ist ausserdem auch fest und substantiell auf der Tatsache begründet, die durch das Vorhandensein der Plasmamembran und Grenzflächen kolloidaler Aggregaten gegeben ist. Betont ist die dynamische Natur der charakteristischen Gleichgewichtszustände und es wird aufmerksam gemacht auf die kontinuierliche Bildung von effektiven Teilungen bei verschiedenen Gleichgewichtszuständen. Weitere Untersuchung der Bedeutung dieser Teilungen ergibt viele interessante Folgerungen. Schwierigkeiten finden sich, wenn man eine derartige Beschreibung auf geistige Phänomena ausdehnt. Zwar bestehen grundlegende Übereinstimmungen, aber es ist schwer sie genau zu definieren. Es ist klar, dass eine Synthese dieser Art notwendigerweise unvollständig ist, aber es schien wertvoll den Versuch zu machen, L'organisme vivant est présenté ici comme une partie définie et individualisée de l'univers maintenant son individualité propre au moyen de „l'effet de partition” déterminé par l'arrangement de ses parties. Il est entendu que la partition n'est pas complète mais permet encore des relations réciproques mais limitées. Il est reconnu aussi que le degré d'organisation varie dans le cours d'une série, des complexités profondes de la cellule aux innombrables modifications exhibées par l'organisme humain. Le concept de la partition effective est basé solidement sur l'évidence présentée par la membrane plasmatique et les limites de phases dans les aggrégations colloidales. De plus il est important de noter spécialement la nature dynamique des équilibres caractéristiques et l'on ne saurait manquer d'attirer l'attention sur la formation continue de partitions effectives aux différents niveaux d'équilibre. L'étude ultérieure de la signification de ces partitions présente un grand nombre d'implications intéressantes. Il est à noter que des difficultés sont rencontrées quand on essaie d'inclure en une description de ce genre les phénomènes mentaux et psychiques. Des stabilités fondamentales existent, mais elles sont difficiles à définir avec précision. No texto começa-se por recordar a controvérsia em torno da existência da filosofia portuguesa que se sustenta consubstanciar-se na questão: "há ou não filosofias especificamente nacionais, a cada nação corresponde uma filosofia própria?". Para solucionar o problema, seria indispensável fixar de modo indiscutível as noções de filosofia e nação. Não se aceitando a intuição das essências, que daria de modo directo e imediato as referidas noções, e entendendo-se que conceitos verdadeiros só podem surgir fundados num sistema, tentou-se, apenas, formular definições (...) convencionais de filosofia e nação, para estabelecer relações inegáveis entre elas, o que poderia dar um contributo para a problemática das filosofias nacionais, na hipótese de tais definições serem exactas ou, pelo menos, terem encontrado defensores. Considerou-se filosofia uma concepção do mundo racional, e nação uma certa comunidade de homens ligados pela istória e, porventura, por uma linguagem própria. Se a cada nação correspondesse uma filosofia cair-se-ia no relativismo, que é insustentável. Se se perfilhasse o ponto de vista que a filosofia depende da linguagem, logo da nação, a resposta seria que a linguagem expressa o pensamento, não é o pensamento. Assevera-se que uma concepção racional do mundo é sempre universal e que uma certa comunidade é, a fortiori, particular. A relação entre filosofia e nação será pois a do universal com o particular. Não é lícito absorver a filosofia na nação, como se esta fosse o universal concreto, nem dissolver aquela num universal que, nessa altura, seria abstracto. O universal supera o particular, sem o destruir, estando numa relação dialéctica com ele. O universal é, assim, universalização do particular. Por consequência, a filosofia será nacional mas de um "nacional" que se saiba auto-ultrapassar. If to every nation there were a corresponding philosophy, an unbearable relativism would prevail. If one were to maintain that philosophy depended on language, and thus a nation, then the response would be that while language expresses thought, language is not thought. It is not legitimate to assimilate philosophy to a nation, as if the latter were a concrete universal; in this sense, it would be simply abstract. The universal overcomes the particular without destroying it, for the relationship is dialectical in nature: the universal is thus the universalization of the particular. Therefore, philosophy in national if one considers national as that which is capable of overcoming itself; the national moment is only a moment of philosophy, and not philosophy as such in its universality. La questione riguarda non solo l'ambito filosofico, interessando la fisica innanzitutto, la psicoanalisi, le arte e l'estetica. Nel ricapitolare la storia culturale della questione, il volume vuol dar conto sinteticamente del tema del vuoto quindi nella tradizione kenotica cristiana, nell'attuale antropologia filosofica e in architettura, senza tralasciare la dimensione intrapsichica, sia nelle tradizioni della meditazione taoista e zen, sia (...) nella psicologia del profondo. La volonté de construire une philosophie critique de l histoire est au c ur de la philosophie de Walter Benjamin. De sa dissertation doctorale aux thèses Sur le concept d histoire, Benjamin s est attelé à la tâche de comprendre et de construire les modes de réalisation d une histoire critique en rupture avec une tradition dédiée à la modernité. Cet ouvrage vise à reconstruire les différentes étapes épistémologiques de cette construction majeure et innovante face au modernisme toujours prévalant actuellement (...) dans ce domaine. Trois niveaux de critique sont identifiés qui concernent respectivement le contenu, la forme et la pratique de la critique. Il en ressort que la critique de la critique est le geste philosophique fondamental qui analyse et structure l activité critique en dissociant les différentes opérations à l uvre dans cette dernière. Ce geste philosophique premier ne concerne ni la dénonciation ni la rectification partielle d une situation d oppression mais constitue réellement son émancipation. Il vise la transformation du sujet lui-même dans et par son rôle d intervenant dans l'histoire. C'est en cherchant à trouver et mobiliser les ressources d apprentissage chez le sujet que le geste critique premier parvient à dépasser l'oppression et à engager la production d'une nouvelle forme de vivre ensemble. *** Der Wille, eine kritische Philosophie der Geschichte zu entwerfen, steht im Zentrum der Philosophie Walter Benjamins. Ausgehend von seiner Doktorarbeit bis hin zu seinen Thesen Über den Begriff der Geschichte, hat Benjamin es sich zur Aufgabe gemacht, die verschiedenen Arten der Verwirklichung einer kritischen Geschichte, die mit der Tradition der Moderne bricht, zu verstehen und zu entwerfen. Das vorliegende Werk versucht, die verschiedenen erkenntnistheoretischen Etappen dieses bedeutenden und innovativen Entwurfs, angesichts des heute immer noch auf diesem Gebiet vorherrschenden Modernismus, nachzuzeichnen. Drei Ebenen der Kritik werden identifiziert, die jeweils den Inhalt, die Form und die Praxis der Kritik betreffen. Daraus ergibt sich, dass die Kritik der Kritik die fundamentale philosophische Geste ist, die die kritische Vorgehensweise analysiert und strukturiert, indem sie die verschiedenen Arbeitsschritte in dieser letzteren voneinander trennt. Diese grundlegende philosophische Geste bedeutet weder die Denunziation noch die partielle Rechtfertigung einer Situation der Unterdrückung, sondern stellt in Wirklichkeit ihre Emanzipation dar. Sie hat das Ziel, das Subjekt selbst in und durch seine Rolle zu verwandeln, die darin besteht, in die Geschichte einzugreifen. Indem sie die Quellen der Lernprozesse beim Subjekt sucht und mobilisiert, gelingt es der grundlegenden kritischen Geste, die Unterdrückung zu überwinden und sich für die Einrichtung einer neuen Form des Zusammenlebens einzusetzen. Gli aspetti concreti e le ricadute pratiche della filosofia sono da qualche tempo al centro dell'attenzione sia degli specialisti - che si interrogano sulla portata e il significato della loro materia anche fuori dalle accademie - sia dei non filosofi - che affollano festival culturali e interrogano i filosofi sui media. Sulle diverse fogge assunte dalla filosofia di fronte alla pratica riflettono gli autori di questi saggi, facendo riferimento tanto a quelle contenute nel sapere consegnatoci in duemilacinquecento anni da questa (...) disciplina, quanto a quelle più recenti, volte a rinnovare il suo rapporto con la quotidianità - le cosiddette "pratiche filosofiche". Un ventaglio di sguardi diversi tra loro, che privilegiano ora la sapienza e la logica, ora la saggezza e la cura, che hanno però in comune l'interesse a pensare le sfide della contemporaneità e le conseguenze pratiche che la filosofia è in grado di offrire a ciascuno di noi, ma anche l'idea che la filosofia non sia una mera disciplina speculativa, ma sia invece indispensabile agli uomini - a tutti gli uomini - per dar senso alla loro vita. Nella prima parte del volume (Lineamenti generali) viene analizzata sotto un profilo storico-critico l’interpretazione del cristianesimo data dalle più significative correnti filosofiche del Novecento italiano: dal neotomismo all’idealismo, dall’esistenzialismo alle più recenti temperie speculative, come l’ermeneutica ed il “pensiero debole”. Pagine di approfondimento vengono dedicate anche al rapporto tra cristianesimo e politica, così come viene preso in esame sia da autori di tendenza marxista che liberale. In tal modo viene effettuato un excursus che mette in luce il contributo originale di (...) alcune posizioni filosofiche tipicamente italiane e che, allo stesso tempo, evidenzia la fecondità di domande che il messaggio cristiano ha per il lógos umano. La seconda parte del libro (Percorsi di approfondimento) è costituita da cinque saggi sul rapporto tra fides et ratio così com’esso è stato tematizzato in autori e contesti ricchi di intuizioni originali ma che talvolta non hanno trovato adeguati spazi nelle ricostruzioni storiografiche. In particolare ci siamo soffermati sul kantismo di Filippo Masci, sul personalismo di Luigi Stefanini (letto come “ermeneutica filosofica” ante litteram), sul “tomismo essenziale” di Cornelio Fabro, sull’ontologismo di Augusto Del Noce, sull’epistemologia di Dario Antiseri. Tali indagini storiografiche prendono le mosse dall’idea giobertiana della poligonìa del cristianesimo, contraddistinto da una pluralità di confessioni, liturgie e spiritualità: esso non è religio “ad una sola dimensione” ma è un evento in grado di dar vita a molteplici ermeneutiche della condizione umana, a molteplici metodologie che, pur con differenti accentuazioni, tendono ad ampliare gli orizzonti della ragione umana. La Weltanschauung ebraico-cristiana fa intravvedere alla ragione i suoi limiti costitutivi ma, allo stesso tempo, apre ad essa dimensioni di senso e di ulteriorità, altrimenti inattingibili. Ma quello che prima era soltanto un motivo tematico s'~ sviluppato in una vogorosa e posscnte sinfonia, specie se ci si riferisce al panorama dell'estetica contemporanea, che, con ampiezza di vedute e spregiudicata freschezza d'informazione---integrando e continuando le note storie dell'estetica e della critica dello Zimmermann, dello Schlaser, del Bosanquet, del Croce e del Wellek--il Petruzzellis traccia all'inizio del libro "I1 panorama dell'estetica contemporanea, col quale si apre il volume---avverte--non vuol essere un'esposizione manualistica, e tanto meno un repertorio bibliografico pifl o meno completo, ma uno strumento d'indagine.... e vuo|e altresl fornire all'attento lettore le ragioni storiche e critiche deUe posizioni conclusive alle quali siamo pervenuti e dei consensi e dissensi in esse impliciti" (p. 6). This article develops a Gricean account for the computation of scalarimplicatures in cases where one scalar term is in the scope ofanother. It shows that a cross-product of two quantitative scalesyields the appropriate scale for many such cases. One exception iscases involving disjunction. For these, I propose an analysis that makesuse of a novel, partially ordered quantitative scale for disjunction andcapitalizes on the idea that implicatures may have different epistemic status.

The evolutionary history of muscle development in the paired fins of teleost fish and the limbs of tetrapod vertebrates is still, to a large extent, uncertain. There has been a consensus, however, that in the vertebrate clade the ancestral mechanism of fin and limb muscle development involves the extension of epithelial tissues from the somite into the fin/limb bud. This mechanism has been documented in chondrichthyan, dipnoan, chondrostean and teleost fishes. It has also been assumed that in amniotes, in contrast, (...) individual progenitor cells of muscles migrate from the somites into the limb buds. Neyt et al.(1) now present the exciting finding that in zebrafishes this presumably derived mechanism involving individual cell migration, is present. They conclude, based on data on sharks, zebrafishes, chickens, quails and mice that the derived mechanism was present in the sarcopterygians. This conclusion, however, may be premature in the light of further data available in the literature, which show a highly mosaic distribution of this character in the vertebrate clade. Furthermore, a developmental mode exists that is intermediate between the supposed ancestral and derived modes in teleosts, reptiles and possibly amphibians. This paper proposes an innovative approach to achieving real-time polymorphic behavior detection, and its direct application to blockchain-focused smart-contracts. We devise a method based on a non-deterministic finite state machine to perform approximate pattern-matching, using a look-ahead mechanism implemented through a concept similar to that of a sliding window, and using threshold-based similarity checking at every state in the automaton. We introduce and formalize our approach, discuss the challenges we faced and then test it in a real-world environment. The experimental (...) results obtained showed a significant speed-up of our approach, as compared to the classic similarity measures used commonly in such scenarios. (shrink)

Kamp and Fine presented an influential argument against the use of fuzzy logic for linguistic semantics in 1975. However, the argument assumes that contradictions of the form "A and not A" have semantic value zero. The argument has been recently criticized because sentences of this form are actually not perceived as contradictory by naive speakers. I present new experimental evidence arguing that fuzzy logic still isn't useful for linguistic semantics even if we take such naive speaker judgements at face value. (...) Specifically I show that naive speakers judge "A and not A" in the relevant cases as more true than "B and not A" even when A and B are judged to be equally true. A truth functional semantics such as fuzzy logic cannot account for these intuitions directly. (shrink)

This paper argues that parts of the lexical content of an A-bar moved phrase must be interpreted in the base position of movement. The argument is based on a study of deletion of a phrase that contains the base position of movement. I show that deletion licensing is sensitive to the content of the moved phrase. In this way, I corroborate and extend conclusions based on Condition C reconstruction by N. Chomsky and D. Fox. My result provides semantic evidence for (...) the existence of traces and gives semantic content to the A/A-bar distinction. (shrink)
